As part of WP7, a first model Industry Day was conducted. The event was embedded within a PhD school, in order to attract the audience of graduated students who are usually not fully aware of the possibility of partnership between Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) and public research centers.
In order to organize this event, contacts with existing collaborations were established, and Prof. Caciolli has given a presentation of the CHETEC-INFRA project to the Europlanet Science Congress 2021 (Industry & Policy session 21 Sep 2021). The Industrial day has been organised in July 2022 covering the presence of more than 50 students and several researchers and industrial partners.
The event was hosted as part of the Summer School NDRA2022 – 4th Summer School on Neutron Detectors and Related Applications. Presentation from SME partners have been given (FBK, CAEN, SCIONIX) and an overview presentation was given by Prof. Caciolli on the CHETEC-INFRA project. As part of the program, a session was offered for discussion between young researchers and SME partners after the presentation, as well as a poster session dedicated to new advances in neutron detectors R&D.
